wanting to play hookey...

Ah yes...my last post spoke of waiting for my grades. The wait is over and I'm not too surprised. Although I'd like to receive an A in every class, one B doesn't break my heart. It certainly isn't because I blew anything off; I put my all into whatever I'm studying. I just need to keep at it.

Right now I'd love to just play hookey. I'm exhausted by weeks of being constantly assaulted by negative political ads and the anxiety of what ifs. I want to take off for a week of comfortable, sunny days with no commitments.

Of course, that's not reality. Maybe a short nap will help restore my determination to actually get busy with homework.
